Original draamtic writing
My theatrical work has largely been defined by my collaborations with two different devised theatre "laboratories." As Playwright in Residence, then Co-Artistic Director of the Laboratory for Enthusiastic Collaboration (LEC) I worked intensively as an ensemble member both onstage and off to collectively create unique performance events from diverse source material. The Laboratory for the Development of Substitute Materials (LDSM), of which I am a co-founder, makes and teaches research-based devised work on topics drawn from cities and science. And my occasional work as a playwright draws on my interest in talk genres to ask questions about communitty and connection mostly through monologues for individual and collective voices.
